About Us
Our Process
Our home theater, home automation, and whole house audio (distributed) solutions start with rigorous programming (Needs analysis). The client's needs, both required and desired, are identified and reported in this phase of the project. If an architect or designer has not been engaged, based on the scope of the project, one of our architect/designer partners can be. The outcome of this will lead to the design of an appropriate technology package.

Our clients will also benefit from our in-house engineering services, which will create, from polished programming, a design package that is both comprehensive and robust. This package will combine the architectural and aesthetic elements of the home with the entertainment and automation system design, resulting in a final design drawing package. Our design package is submitted to you as our recommendation. This is how we arrive at a starting point to begin the provisioning process. CES requires customer involvement, and approval. This is an important element in the process.
Our teams of dedicated installers are experts in their particular disciplines. CES leverages the strengths of the commercial market creating three discrete steps within the installation phase of a project. The preinstall team prepares the customers site by protecting all walls, carpeting, furniture, etc, and creating a protected path from the outside, to the work site. During this phase, the following steps are completed; all pre-install deliveries are received, cabling, back boxes, mounts, and acoustic treatments are all roughed-in.

When this phase is complete, the system installation team will deliver all the gear and install the systems. At this point, the control system programming is uploaded. When finished, the installation is fully tested and signed off. In the final phase of a project, the systems are calibrated and certified, by certified experts. Lastly, the clients are trained, and final sign off takes place. The services offered by CES don't end after the installation. Our dedicated teams of qualified service technicians are available 24/7 to service systems both during the initial warranty, under service contract, or on an individual service call basis. Additionally, audio and video calibration and testing is also offered as part of a contract or service call.
CES quality control yields perfection
CES's Production department, assembles, and tests all integrated systems in-house prior to delivery and on-site installation.
Before any cable is ever pulled in your home, our engineering department drafted it using the latest version of AutoCAD. From, system schematics, to rack elevations, floor plans, and GUI designs, we deliver a comprehensive drawing package which clarify to the owner, architect, contractors and subcontractors, all the work to be performed, including a responsibility matrix for each element within the scope of the entertainment and automation scope.

Our design packages are the best in the business.
None of our competitors even come close to the level of detail, and accuracy conveyed in our design packages. Engineering a system in advance ensures that no detail is missed. Additionally all properly engineered systems are guaranteed to function as specified for the contracted price.
Signoff of the design package results in release of Purchase Orders, and the beginning of procurement and production.
Dedicated Project Management
Consistent with our long success in the commercial AV industry, CES assigns a professional project manager to every project. Our Project Managers are the best in the industry, and serve as the primary interface to all parties involved in the project. Meetings are held with designers and tradesmen, and site visits are conducted – in an effort to avoid potential pitfalls throughout the various phases of your home system project. Our expert project managers plan and coordinate project logistics, manage our technical and engineering personnel, and report status to the customer and design team throughout the entire project.

Pre-Install
When a project involves new construction or a major remodel, delivery, and installation of the audio, video, and infrastructure wiring takes place during pre-install. We pull all the cable in the walls of your home. We perform these steps after the framing is complete, and before the drywall is installed. When a project does not involve new construction or major a remodel, our CEDIA-certified technicians are specifically trained to run cable unobtrusively throughout your home. In retrofit conditions, installation of the speakers, trim rings, mounting brackets, and other relevant hardware gets installed during the initial Pre-install phase. In new construction the last phase of preinstall takes place after drywall is installed, and painted.

Production
While Pre-install is taking place at the client's site, a separate dedicated team of system builders are assembling the Audiovisual rack in our production facility in Hicksville Long Island, NY. Most system components will be installed into a professional rack enclosure. All of the wiring within the equipment rack will custom cut and terminated, yielding a finished product that is professionally constructed add hearing to all industry standards for custom wiring, easily serviceable through the use of service loops wire labeling, and numbering schemes, and beautiful. None of the wires will be visible to the user, and access to the cabling will be limited. This prevents failures by accidental mishandling of the inner workings of the system.
Installation
The most exciting phase of any project is the installation phase. During installation all of the equipment will be delivered to the home. Displays, equipment racks, touchpanels, and other devices will be mounted in their permanent locations and connected to the cabling, that was pulled in the earlier phases of the project. Speakers will be put in place and the system will be thoroughly tested. CES uses a well documented process for conducting a point to point conformation of the functionality of every cable, and piece of gear in the system.

Programming Bridges the Gap
CES’s outstanding quality equipment and expert professional services have little value to a homeowner who has difficulty using his or her system.
For this reason, we employ a team of programmers and user interface specialists who work closely with the system designers and engineers, as well as interfacing directly with the client when necessary.
This approach ensures programming is consistent with the design intent from the outset and that the result satisfies the client's expectations.
Calibration
To get the most from your system, you'll want it to look the best and sound the best. Calibration is a vital stage. Our attention to detail in system calibration is one of the reasons that our audio and video installations are so renowned. In the calibration phase, we make fine adjustments to sound quality and picture quality to best fit your media room, tweak lighting levels to maximize the visual impact of the lighting system, and fine-tune the user interface to ensure ultimate simplicity and reliability. The result is emotionally-engaging video and audio that creates an unprecedented entertainment experience. Learn more...
